Applications are invited from Pakistani nationals who are not married to a foreign national, on the Prescribed Form obtainable free of cost on any working day during office hours from the Office of the Registrar (Personnel Section) and also available on University Website at http://www.uaf.edu.pk for the following posts of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Lecturer/Research Associate, Research Officer and Farm Manager. In the subjects of Horticulture/Agronomy (one) and Entomology/Plant Pathology (one).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. from an HEC recognized Institution in the relevant field.
Experience : 15-years teaching/research experience in HEC recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. OR
10-Years post-Ph.D.teaching/ research experience in a recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
Minimum Number of Publications:
The applicant must have 15-research publications (with at least 05 publications in last 5 years) in HEC recognized journals.
2. ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR (BPS-20):
In the subjects of Soil Science/Agronomy/Horticulture (one), Entomology/Plant Pathology/ Forestry Range Management & Wildlife (one) and Plant Breeding & Genetics (one).
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/ Institution.
Experience
10-years teaching/research experience in an HEC recognized University or a postgraduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization. OR

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS IN ALL DISCIPLINES EXCLUDING ENGINEERING.
Ph.D. in the relevant field from HEC recognized University/ Institution. No experience required. OR Master’s degree(foreign) or M.Phil (Pakistan) or equivalent degrees awarded after 18 years of education as determined by the HEC in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with 4-years teaching/research experience in a recognized University or a post-graduate Institution or professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSTS OF ASSISTANT PROFESSORS IN THE DISCIPLINES OF ENGINEERING.
Ph.D. in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/ Institution. No experience required for Ph.D. degree holders. OR Master’s degree in the relevant field from an HEC recognized University/Institution, with 2-years teaching/research experience in a recognized Institution/University/College OR 2-years professional experience in the relevant field in a National or International Organization.

First Class Master’s Degree OR equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the relevant field from an HEC recognized

Master’s degree/B.Sc.(Engr.)(First Class) in the relevant field with no 3rd Division in the academic career from HEC recognized University/Institution.
6. ONE FARM MANAGER (BPS-17): QUALIFICATIONS:
First Class Master’s Degree OR equivalent degree awarded after 16 years of education in the subject of Agronomy from an HEC recognized University/Institute with no 3rd Division in the academic career. Further more, the candidate with 2nd division in the Master’s Degree but holding higher degree i.e. M.Phil./ Ph.D. or equivalent degree with 18 years of education could be considered, with at least two years experience in Farm Management.
7. ONE ASSISTANT REGISTRAR (BPS-17): QUALIFICATIONS:
“Bachelor’s Degree (at least 2nd Division) from a recognized University with 5- years office experience including at least 3-years experience in Scale-16 in a University or a Government or Semi-Government Organization or Educational Institution”.

“Graduate with 5-years experience in the relevant field or Matriculate with 10-years experience in the relevant field in Government organization or a recognized institute”.
14. TWO SECURITY OFFICERS (BPS-16): QUALIFICATIONS:
Intermediate from a recognized University/Board of Higher Secondary Education. Relaxable in cases of special merit.
EXPERIENCE: A Police Officer not below the rank of a Sub-Inspector with at least 15 years experience in the
line especially of watch and ward/Security in a big organization. OR An Ex-Military-Man not below the rank of J.C.O.
15. FOUR ASSISTANTS (BPS-14): QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate with five years office experience.
16. TWO GENERATOR OPERATORS (BPS-13): QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) Secondary School Certificate. (ii) At least 5 years experience from wellreputed organization regarding running maintenance and operation of Diesel Engines and stand by Generators. Should have knowledge of Switching Off and ON system of Generating Sets.
17. TWO STENOGRAPHERS (BPS-12): QUALIFICATIONS:
“Intermediate or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Board; and A speed of 80 words per minute in Short-hand in English and 35 words per minute in Typewriting”.
18. TWO DISPENSERS (BPS-11): QUALIFICATIONS:
Dispenser’s Diploma from an Institute recognized by Punjab Medical Faculty.
19. TWO SUB-ENGINEERS (CIVIL, ELECTRIC, MECHANICAL & ELECTRONICS) (BPS-11): QUALIFICATIONS:
“Diploma in 2nd Division in requisite discipline of Engineering after undergoing a minimum of three years of course from the Punjab Board of Technical Education or equivalent qualifications”.

Dars-e-Nizami Sanad and having average proficiency in Quran and Hadith.

Intermediate at least in 2nd Division and Diploma in M.S. Office with 3-years office experience.
22. ONE ASSISTANT FOREMAN (VEHICLE) (BPS-9): QUALIFICATIONS:
Secondary School Certificate alongwith twelve years experience at Motor Pool as Driver/Mechanic.
23. ONE AUTO ELECTRICIAN (BPS-8) QUALIFICATIONS:
Secondary School Certificate with at least 5-years experience in the relevant field. OR Middle pass with at least 8-years experience in the relevant field.
24. TEN JUNIOR CLERKS/COMPUTER OPERATORS (BPS-7): QUALIFICATIONS:
(i) Matriculate 2nd division from a recognized University or Board or equivalent qualifications. ii. Ability to type at a speed of 30 words per minute.

Secondary School Certificate with Diploma in Estate Management. OR Field Assistant Course with 5-years as Junior Field Assistant in service.

Literate with at least 10-years experience as Head Chowkidar/Gate Keeper.

(i) Middle Pass. (ii) Should know Tubewell Operating and Mechanism of Machinery. (iii) At least one year experience in line.

Matriculation with at least two (02) years experience in installing and troubleshooting of LAN (Local Area Network).

2. 3. 5. Persons already employed in any Government or other organizations should submit their applications through proper channel. Advance copies may, however, be sent to save time. The requisite No Objection Certificate from present employer must reach in the Office of the Registrar (Personnel Section) before or on the last date for receipt of applications or on the date of interview, failing which such candidates will not be allowed to appear for interview. The existing University employees studying abroad will be considered in absentia. The candidates who are living abroad and unable to appear before the Selection Board, their interviews will be conducted by the Selection Board through Video Conferencing/ SKYPE. Two percent (2%) quota is reserved for disabled persons and five percent (5%) quota is also reserved for Minorities (Non-Muslims). Shemales can apply, if eligible for the post applied for. 6. All Government Employees who intend to apply for any post through proper channel shall clarify through the Heads of their Attached Departments that there is no pending enquiry/out-standing dues against them. Moreover, there are no adverse remarks in any of their Annual Confidential Reports. These conditions are necessary for grant of Departmental Permission Certificate/No Objection Certificate (N.O.C.). The A.C.Rs grading for the last five years may also be recorded in the forwarding letter.
7. The University reserves the right; i. not to fill any vacancy without assigning any reason thereof or consider a person for appointment in a lower cadre against the posts advertised. ii. to short list the candidates on the basis of academic qualifications/test as may be prescribed by the University. Only short listed candidates will be called for interview. Iii. to increase or decrease the number of vacancies as per availability of funds.
8. The competent authority of the University decided that if a candidate appear before the Selection Board twice on different occasions for the same post and remained unsuccessful, he may not be called for an interview for the same post subsequently. This shall be applicable for the posts of Lecturer/Assistant Professor.
9. Incomplete applications or those received after the due date will not be entertained.
