The Registration form is available in the Office of the respective Dean, which also can be downloaded  from  University  website  www.uaf.edu.pk.  The  test  fee  (non  refundable)  worth Rs.1,100/- (Rupees one thousand and one hundred only) be deposited into University Account No. 270-5(NBP  University of Agriculture Branch) or through DD/Pay order in favour of the TREASURER, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, prepared by any scheduled bank. The Registration form with test fee, attested copies of two photographs and CNIC be submitted  preferably in person upto the last date i.e. 25.09.2013 in the Office of the Dean concerned for issuance of Roll number slip. The other terms,  conditions  and  procedure  to  apply  for  Evening  College  are  as under:– 

The University  of Agriculture, Faisalabad is proud to open its admissions for the academic session, 2013-2014. The candidates desirous to seek admission at its main Campus as well as its Sub Campuses at Dera Ghazi Khan, Toba Tek Singh and Burewala are advised to apply for admission on the proper forms. The detail of courses, minimum required qualification excluding 20 marks of Hafiz-e-Quran(except B.Ed.)/ Associate degree in Education and applications  submission addresses are given below. The applicants who have passed the examination mentioned against each certificate/degree course or an examination acceptable as equivalent thereto from a recognized

Institution in the Punjab are eligible to apply. The candidates seeking admission to Engineering

programs shall have to qualify entry test conducted by the University whereas qualifying customized NTS entry test conducted at the premises of the Faculty  concerned will be mandatory for those seeking admission to DVM:

Three years Diploma holder candidates:

(4) The candidates possessing Three Years Diploma of Associate Engineer in the relevant technology can apply for admission to all the  Engineering programs only against their reserved seats under ‘Open Merit’ and ‘Evening College’ categories. They shall not be eligible to apply for admission under any other category in the said course. Their marks will be converted to a basic figure of 1100(total marks for F.Sc.) and Hafiz– e–Quran marks, if any,(provided they clear the Hafiz-e-Quran Test) will be added later after conversion

Age limit:

(5) For Intermediate(Pre-Agriculture) age limit is 18 years and 23 years for other degree programs on September 1st, 2013. There is no age limit for admission to Associate and B.Ed. degree programs. However, the upper age limit condition where applicable can be relaxed on the recommendations of respective admission authority by the competent authority, if selected provisionally.

For rural candidates:

(6) The domicile district of a candidate will be determined from the name and place of School indicated in the Matric Certificate. If the school is situated within the premises of a district headquarter(any district of Punjab), the candidate will be considered as Urban. The rest of the candidates will be considered as Rural for the degree programs where separate seats have been earmarked for rural and urban candidates. The rural candidates are

required to apply on prescribed green colour form having heading ‘For Rural Candidates” only, failing which they shall not be considered under the relevant category.

Instructions for reserved seats:

(7) The candidates applying for reserved seats of :

i) ‘Cholistani candidates’ should be by birth actual resident of Cholistan having birth certificate from respective Union Councils verified by the Managing Director, Cholistan Development Authority, Bahawalpur.

ii) ‘Disabled persons’ should obtain prescribed certificate complete in all respects regarding “Assessment of Disability” issued by the District Assessment Board of their respective Districts. However, in DVM the selection criteria would be merit cum fitness instead of intersee merit and the candidate will be examined by a Committee

under the Convenorship of Dean concerned.

iii) “Children of Overseas Pakistanis” should attached National Identity Card of Overseas Pakistanis(NICOP) issued by NADRA in the name of father/guardian(if father not alive).

iv) the candidates applying against seats reserved for the ‘Children of Agri. graduates, Veterinary graduates’ should attach copy of degree of their father obtained from this University.

v) those applying against seats reserved for the ‘Children of University employees (teachers and others), should produce prescribed certificate issued by the Personnel Section(in the case of teachers) and Establishment Section(in the case of other than teachers).

vi)  the candidates desirous to seek admission against reserved seats for nominees of other Provinces including Azad Jammu & Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan should contact the respective Department of their Government for

nomination. However, they can also apply under Evening College category without nomination.

 The concerned candidate(s) will submit the requisite certificate alongwith application forms and  tick  the relevant category of admission in addition to Open Merit, failing which the candidate will not be considered against the said category declaring the application as incomplete for the relevant category.

Admission on Sports and Co-Curricular basis:

(8) The candidates irrespective of gender seeking admission on the basis of excellence in Sports or CoCurricular

activities against the reserved seats(where available) are required to submit separate single form for each category of specific colours along with documentary evidence, if any, in addition to ‘Open Merit’ form and submit in the offices mentioned below up to the last date. These form are not included in the prospectus but will be sold on demand through the Bank on cash payment. The sports trials and interview for Co-Curricular activities will be held at Faisalabad as per schedule notified by the Directorate of Sports and Office of the Senior Tutor. Form and complete it in all respect by attaching the requisite documents. Before its submission in the concerned Faculty/ Institute/College/Sub-Campus upto the last date, should attach bank draft/ pay order

Worth Rs.1,000/- in favour of the Treasurer, University of Agriculture, Faisalabad, prepared by any scheduled

Bank. In case a candidate also desirous to apply in other degree programs according to eligibility, he may attach

Copy of requisite Bank Draft/Pay order alongwith each application form separately indicating the Faculty/Institute/College/Sub Campus, where original draft has been submitted.

 The prescribed price of prospectus worth Rs.2,000.00 will be added separately in the fee challan of the provisionally selected candidates. On submission of copy of said challan in the office of the Registrar(Students’ Record Branch) located near main mosque, a copy of prospectus without application forms will be handed over to a candidate for perusal of available facilities, ‘Scheme of Studies’ of all degree programs, the Regulations

relating to admission, discipline and conduct, hostel accommodation, fee structure, and other details etc.

Entry Tests

Entry test is required just for all engineering programs of faculty of agricultural Engineering and dvm only.. no other degree program need any test..

For admission to Engineering Programs:

(10) Qualifying entry test conducted by the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering & Technology with minimum

50% marks is pre-requisite for all admission categories/quota(s) and nominees of other Provinces including Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Children of Defence Forces Personnel as well as Foreign students seats. The merit for admission will be determined on 10% weightage for SSCE marks, 40% for Intermediate/three years diploma and 50% for entry test.  The candidates desirous to seek admission in the said  degree programs are required to confirm whether he/she has qualified Entry Test or otherwise from the concerned Faculty and University website. After getting confirmation that they have qualified the test, then they should submit regular admission form.

For admission to Doctor of Veterinary Medicine(DVM):

(11) Qualifying customized entry test securing atleast 40% marks conducted by the NTS at the premises

of Faculty of Veterinary Science is mandatory for all admission categories/quota(s) and nominees of other

Provinces including Azad Jammu & Kashmir, GilgitBaltistan, Children of Defence Forces Personnel. The

Weightage for admission will be 70% for Intermediate(Pre-Medical, Pre-Agriculture) marks and 30% for

entry test.  The candidates who qualified the test are required to attach attested copy of Result Slip of the test issued by the NTS alongwith admission application form.

Submission of forms:

(12) The prescribed separate application forms for each of the above certificate/degree course along with

requisite documents as per details given on backside of each form must be submitted to the offices of the

Deans/Director/Director General/Principal concerned upto the date published in the National Press. The

name of the category in which a candidate seeks admission must be clearly ticked in the admission form. No one will be allowed to add or change the name of the category after submission of application In case the candidates possessing equal marks and standing at the tail of the merit list, preference for admission will be given to the older one.

Merit Lists:

(13) The candidates will not be called for interview and the selection shall be made purely on merit under the

applied category, on the basis of marks obtained in the last examination and entry test(where applicable).

They shall check their admission from the lists which will be displayed by the concerned Deans/ Director/

Director General/Principal on the Notice Boards of the respective Faculty/Institute/College/Sub Campus

on the date published in the National Press. For admission in the degree programs of Faisalabad Campus, these lists can also be perused on University’s website . If a selected candidate fails to deposit University dues within the stipulated period indicated in the admission notification, his admission shall stand cancelled automatically without any prior notice. The admission of next candidate on waiting list will be notified who will also not be informed about his selection but he will have to check his name from the admission lists displayed on the respective Notice Board. However, the admission authority has a right to refuse admission to any candidate without assigning any reason

.

Procedure to apply for admission to ‘Evening College’ Program:

 (14) The seats under Evening College in first degree courses as per details given in allocation of seats chart are also available for the candidate who can afford extra expenses. The minimum eligibility condition to apply for admission under this category is the same as prescribed for Open Merit indicated against each. The other terms, conditions and procedure to apply for Evening College are as under:–

(a) all the male/female citizens of Pakistan irrespective of their domicile can apply for admission against the seats available under Evening College category.

(b) the Punjab domiciled candidates seeking admission in Evening College should have also to apply against Open Merit seats of day classes as a pre-requisite.

(c) a separate pink coloured application form would be required to submit for admission against each degree programme which will be sold on demand by the candidates in addition to price of the prospectus.

(d)   The entry fee in addition to normal dues would be as under which have to be deposited in lump sum before submission of application form:-

1. Rs.3,00,000/(Rupees three lac only) is for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agri. Sciences, B.Sc.(Hons.) Home Economics and B.Sc.(Hons.) Human Nutrition & Dietetics.

2. Rs.2,00,000/-(Rupees two lac only) is for B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture(D.G. Khan Campus) and B.Sc. (Hons.) Poultry Science (Toba Tek Singh Campus)

3. Rs.4,00,000/-(Rupees four lac only) All Engineering programs of the Faculty of Agri. Engineering & Technology.

4. Rs.5,00,000/-(Rupees five lac only) is for Doctor of Veterinary Medicine(DVM

In case any deserving candidate could not deposit the amount of entry fee in lump sum, the fee can be split over the whole degree programme and be recovered in equal installments alongwith dues of regular semester as detailed below:-

Engineering programs of the Faculty of Agri. Engineering & Technology is Rs. 50,000/- Rs. 50.000/-  each alongwith dues of 2nd

to 8th semester

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine(DVM) is Rs. 50,000/- Rs. 50,000/- each alongwith dues of 2nd to 10th semester

Remaining Installments

 (e) The candidates will have to pay amount of entry fee through the Bank Draft/pay order in favour of the Treasurer of this University prepared by any scheduled bank and payable at NBP/ HBL/MCB, University of Agriculture Branch. The draft/pay order be submitted either to the office of the Treasurer(Accounts Section) at

Faisalabad or Principal of the D.G. Khan and T.T. Singh Campuses against proper receipts, before submission of admission application form in the respective Faculty/Institute/SubCampus. They should attach original receipt

Of entry fee with the prescribed form. The amount of remaining installments, where applicable will be included in the computerized Bank Challan of regular semester dues.

(f) if the applicants are more than the number of allocated seats, the admission will be made on merit(among themselves) to be determined on the basis of marks obtained by the respective applicants in their Intermediate examination and entry test marks (where applicable). Female candidates will be admitted on merit inter see against the seats specifically reserved for them.

(g) Entry fee/dues will be refunded as per approved policy.

(h) if a candidate of Evening College desirous to change his course after notification of his admission in a degree course, may opt for another course once; provided he had already submitted proper application form under the said category and falls on merit in that course.

(i) no student of day classes will be allowed to shift to Evening College in any case and vice versa.

(j) if a candidate who submitted an application form as a day class student but could not be admitted on merit, he can opt for seeking admission as Evening College student by submitting an application to the respective

Dean/Director General/Principal, who after ensuring his merit, availability of seat and obtaining bank draft of entry fee, shall submit his case to the Vice Chancellor for approval through the Registrar office. A certificate

must be accompanied with the case from the Dean/ Director General/Principal concerned that no candidate on waiting list of Evening College category has previously been ignored. However, such admission will be recommended after completion of admission against all the categories.  However, after completion of admission against allocated seats under ‘Evening College’ category with the candidates who applied within due date by depositing amount of entry fee/completing other admission formalities, the University reserves the right to allow admission under ‘Evening College’ category to the candidates having higher marks who had applied earlier on ‘open merit’ but could not get admission by allocating additional seats/adjustment of un-utilized under other categories and following the prescribed procedure.

(k) in case, seats reserved in the Evening College remain vacant in a degree course, the same may be transferred to any other degree course in the same category, if required, with the permission of the competent authority.

(l) the classes under the category will start functioning in the morning time and students will enjoy all the uxiliary facilities such as medical, accommodation(if available) etc. just like other students.

 fee schedule for 1st semester in different undergraduate programs in University of Agriculture, Faisalabbad has been announced as:

1. B.Sc(Hons) Agriculture & B.Sc(Hons) Home economics is rupee 28,250 in 1st semester and rupee 16,000 in subsequent semesters(140,250 rupee as whole degree programme)

2. B.Sc(Hons) Humane Nutrition and Dieteics is rupee 30,000 in 1st semester and rupee 18,000 in subsequent semesters(156,000 rupee as whole degree programme)
