The Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria) is pleased to announce its prestigious 2019 IST Summer Internship Austria. Students from any country or nationality can apply for ISTernship Summer Program 2019. The good about this summer internship is that you can apply without IELTS or TOEFL. The fully funded summer internship in Austria will be held between between May 15 and September 15. The ISTernship 2019 is accepting applications from Undergraduate and Master’s students.
IST Austria Internship is fully paid internship and it will cover monthly scholarship and travel allowance, accommodation and arrange an insurance after your arrival. There is no application for 2019 internship in Austria.
The ISTernship is a summer internship program at IST Austria which offers research opportunities to outstanding undergraduate students interested in biology, computer science, data science, physics, mathematics, neuroscience and interdisciplinary areas.

Internship Events:
There are a number of events either specifically organized for ISTerns or open to ISTerns aimed at making their time at IST Austria as valuable as possible.
- Weekly presentations providing short overviews of the research conducted in groups at IST Austria given by the relevant professors or their Postdocs.
- Invitation to the annual IST Austria barbeque (June).
- Annual poster session in which ISTerns prepare a poster detailing their research project at IST Austria (August).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must be enrolled Bachelor- or Master of Science students in good standing at a degree granting institution.
- They must have completed at least the fourth semester of their bachelor’s studies (before the respective start date).
- All students, regardless of nationality or country of residence, are eligible to apply.

- additional qualifications
- list of publications (if any)
- scholarships, awards, etc. (if any)
2. Statement of purpose: a one-page essay in which you explain
- your research experience and the research area(s) you find the most interesting
- your motivation for applying to the IST Austria ISTernship program
- which professor(s) you are interested in doing research with
3. University transcripts/diplomas of current and completed/previous degrees
4. One or two referee(s) who taught or supervised your work in an academic setting: you will need to enter
- their names
- institutions, and
- email addresses
The referee(s) will be contacted directly by us (by email) and asked to submit a reference letter for you. The reference letter is needed to complete your application.

Application Deadline:
- The last date to apply for 2019 IST Summer Internship Austria is February 15, 2019 23:59 CET.
Notifications to all complete applications will be sent out around mid-March. After receiving an offer to join the ISTernship program, selected candidates will need to accept the offer within about a week.
