General description: Body covered with dense & long hair; large head, medium ears, thick horns extending upwards & backwards; twin births common.

Colour: Generally black, but white & grey animals also seen

Size: Medium to large

Average body weight (kg): 40-50

Average wool yield/annum: 1.4 kg

General description: Hairy animals; massive head with long ears and horns; 125 litres milk in 150 days; mostly single births.
