Maturity Signs of Guava:
1. Fruit mature in 140 to 160 days after flowering.
2. Colour changes from green to pale green or yellow.
3. Fruit becomes soft,
4. A slight depression develops near the stalk end.
5. Ridges on the fruit disappears and it becomes round.
Harvesting of Guava:
1. Hand-pulling is employed.
2. Higher branches can be reached with a ladder. The fruit are collected in basket.
3. Picking is done 2 to 3 times a week during harvest season of 8 to 10 weeks.
