Maturity Signs of Ber:
1. About 125 to 150 days are required for harvesting of fruits after flowering.
2. Colour changes from green to pale green / red / brownish , yellow, depending upon variety.
3. Fruit become soft.
4. In Umran specific gravity should be less than 1 with golden yellowish colour.
Harvesting of Ber:
1. It is harvested from November to March in different parts of the country which is earlier in South and late in North India. The peak season of harvest in northern India is between February- April. The fruit should be picked at right stage of maturity.
