Status: Released, 2002 (Punjab). Registered 2003.

Growth habit: Bushy to semi-spreading, early maturing (105-130 days), stem-tip-hairiness profuse and pigmentation medium. Lodge tolerant.

Height and branching: Medium height (110-130 cm), nodes to first fruiting branch 6-7, monopodia 2-7, sympodia 20-25, semi-spreading.

Foliage: Foliage medium dense, light green, profusely hairy and nectaried. Leaf length 11.5, width 15.0, stalk 12.5 cm.

Flower: Flowering early. Flower medium, nectaried, creamy, with intermediate calyx, pollen color cream, stamen medium dense, and semi-erect, stigma height medium (9-12 mm) with no exsertion.

Boll: Medium large sized, 4-5 locked, roundish, wide at above base, with short beak. Surface smooth, gossypol normal, opening good. Bolls/plant 30-35, boll weight 3.9g, length 4.0, width 3.0, peduncle 1.5 cm, bracteole normal and size medium.

Yield kg/ha: Seed cotton 3000.0

Fiber: GOT 38.6%, Staple length 28.7 mm, Micronaire 4.5, Strength 98.9 tppsi, Uniformity 47.3%.

Seed: Seed Index 8.8 g, size medium, length 8.9, width 4.4 mm, Seed fuzzy to semi-fuzzy, dusky white.

Leaf curl virus (CLCV): Tolerant.

Variants: Habit varies when sown early, late, spaced or terminal bud damaged.

Leading characters: CIM 506 Plant bushy semi spreading, leaves light green, medium, profusely hairy, flower nectaried, pollen creamy, early in opening, boll shape roundish, beak short, opening good, seed fuzzy to semi-fuzzy, color dusky white.
