ZTBL finances 908 tractors’ purchasing

Zarai Tarraqiyati Bank Limited has provided financial assistance for purchasing over 908 tractors to growers across the country to mechanised the agri-farming and to enhance per acre yield to fulfil the domestic requirements as well as export. An official of ZTBL told APP here on Thursday said that the out of the total financed tractors by the bank during the year 2011, 884 tractors were distributed in Punjab Province, three in Sindh and 18 in Khyber Pukhtunkhwa. 

He said that Balochistan, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit Balitistan farmers were also provided tractor financing on each one to increase yield out put to alleviate poverty from the country, he added. He said that Rs 58066.4 million disbursed among the small farmers across the country to fulfil their credit requirements adding that Rs 48381.144 million provided to small scale growers in Punjab and Rs 5541.235 million for farmers in Sindh province. 

Meanwhile, Rs 3656.80 million provided loan for small farmers in KP, Rs 82.615 million for Balochistan, Rs 227.66 million for AJK farmers and Rs 176 million for Gilgit Baltistan, he added. He said that agriculture credit cumulative recovery was recorded at 99 percent across the country as 99 percent credit recovered from the Punjab, 98 percent from Sindh, 99 percent from KP and 100 percent from AJK.
