US Plains: HRW wheat bids steady

Spot basis bids for hard red winter wheat were steady in the US Plains and Gulf export markets on Monday in thin dealings, grain merchants said. Kansas City Board of Trade May wheat futures’ most recent close was $7.26-3/4 per bushel. Egypt expects its domestic wheat harvest to be bigger than last year which will help reduce the bill for imports, government spokesman Alaa El Hadidi said on Sunday.
