Ukraine’s grain exports have risen to 19.3 million tonnes so far in the July 2012-June 2013 season from 15.4 million a year ago, thanks to higher sales of maize and wheat, the Agriculture Ministry said on Friday. The former Soviet republic has exported 10.7 million tonnes of maize so far this season versus 9.3 million in the same period of last season, the data provided by the ministry showed. Ukrainian wheat exports rose to 6.3 million tonnes from 3.4 million tonnes in 2011/12.
