Steel-making plant: Czech group finalises arrangements

Santex Group from Czech Republic has concluded all arrangements with Vitkovice Heavy Machinery for setting up 1.2 million ton/annum steel making plant and 300MW coal-fired power plant in Pakistan. The Santex Group has project financing and equity funds in place and plans to announce the project during upcoming mega event of Brno International Trade Fare in Czech Republic in September 2012. 

The Czech venture will be the largest-ever single FDI project in Pakistan in the private sector that will go a long way in meeting the requirements of high quality certified steel in local market. Vitkovice Heavy Machinery is amongst largest engineering firms in Europe with 180-year history in manufacturing highest quality engineering complements for several countries in the world.-PR
