Sindh government urged to establish QMTF institute

The Chairman REAP suggested to the Sindh government to establish a “Quality Maintenance and Technical Fitness Institute at Karachi”, where the youth of interior Sindh would also be admitted. This suggestion he gave during a meeting held at the Chief Minister House in the chair of Syed Qaim Ali Shah here on Monday. 

The meeting was attended by Sindh Minister for Agriculture Syed Ali Nawaz Shah, Finance Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Secretary Agriculture Agha Jan Akhtar, Chairman REAP Jawed Ali Ghori, Mehboob Ahmed, Farooq Chowdhry and others. Chairman REAP Jawed Ali Ghori informed the meeting that the length of the course in the said institution would be two years and all expenses would be borne by REAP. 

Sindh Secretary Agriculture Agha Jan Akhtar observed that keeping in view the need, the said Institute would be established in the interior of Sindh preferably at Dokri. Chief Minister Sindh decided to form a high level committee to discuss and suggest a comprehensive proposal for the establishment of such an institute, in collaboration with REAP and STEVTA. The committee will submit its report within 15 days and the point of view of the rural areas would be accommodated, while efforts would be made to also accommodate issues of growers.-PR
