President Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q), Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, has said that construction of Kalabagh Dam is not possible; hence, we must forget it. This he said while responding a query as to why Kalabagh Dam is missing from PML-Q manifesto, which was launched here on Sunday. Secretary General PML-Q Mushahid Hussain Syed, S M Zafar, and other were also present on the occasion.
To a question, Shujaat said that politicians must not be insulted under the garb of Article 62 and 63 of the Constitution.
To another query, he said elections must be held on time and there must be no delay in this regard. When asked about Pervez Musharraf, he said, “No contact has been made with Musharraf since his return to Pakistan.” Talking about corruption, he said that corruption was rampant from top to bottom and dedicated efforts were required to fight out this menace. He admitted that this problem could not be addressed in a short period of time.
When asked about his party relations with the PPP, Shujaat said fielding candidates by the PPP against his party candidates in Gujrat and other constituencies would not affect the alliance. PML leader S M Zafar said on the occasion that Article 62 and 63 were made part of the Constitution during Zia-ul-Haq era and both the articles were poorly drafted.
