Chairman Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), Dr. Iftikhar Ahmad has called upon the scientists to disseminate their knowledge and innovations to the door steps of farmers living in far flung areas of the country to further enhance food safety and security in the country.
Addressing a ceremony held in honor of retiring scientists and officers of PARC, he asked the senior scientists to play their role for the development and promotion of agriculture sector of the country.
He urged the senior agricultural scientists to support their junior colleagues to boost-up agriculture production for food security in the country.
Chairman Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC) also appreciated the contribution of retired scientists in development and promotion of agriculture sector particularly small land holders of the country.
He said that he is supporting PARC scientists to join international agri- development and donor agencies to represent country in international forums and create opportunity for other scientists at these institutions for the benefit of Pakistan’s agriculture and its small farmers development.
