The agriculture department has issued a schedule for the wheat yield competitions 2013-14. A spokesman of the Agriculture (Extension) Department told APP here on Sunday that aspirants could submit their applications to take part in the wheat competitions, by February 28 in the offices of all agriculture officers, deputy district officer agriculture (extension and district officer agriculture (extension).
He said that the first position holder at province level would be awarded 85-HP tractor whereas 75-HP tractors would be given to the second and third position holders at Punjab level.
Similarly, the first position holder at division level would be awarded 75-HP tractor whereas 65-HP tractor would be given to the second position holder and the third position holder would be awarded a tractor of 55-HP.
The spokesman further said that the first position holder at district level would be awarded a 55-HP tractor whereas laser land leveller would be given to the second position holder and an automatic wheat thrasher would be awarded to the third position holder.
Attractive prizes have also been reserved for the position holders at tehsil level competitions in the province, he added.
