The Flood Forecasting Division said here on Friday that river Ravi at Sidhnai is in high flood. River Chenab at Punjnad and Indus at Guddu and Sukkur are in medium flood. River Indus at Chashma and Sutlej at G S Wala, Sulemanki and Islam are in low flood. It said that in Indus, 269,700 cusecs of water is flowing at Chashma barrage, 447,800 cusecs at Guddu barrage, 510,100 cusecs at Sukkur and 230,033 cusecs of water at Kotri barrage.
In Chenab 269,000 cusecs of water is flowing in Panjnad head-works on the border of Sindh province. Punjab Irrigation engineers are discharging 256,200 cusecs of water downstream the Panjand head-works. Weather Forecast for next 24 hrs: Scattered thundershowers are expected over Mirpur Khas, Hyderabad, Karachi, Bahawalpur, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Hazara, DI Khan divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and FATA. Isolated thundershowers are likely to occur over Kalat, Quetta, Zhob, DG Khan, Multan, Malakand divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Weather next 48 Hrs: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, rain-thundershower is expected at isolated places of Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions and Kashmir/GB.
Weather past 24 hrs: Weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country; however, rain-thundershower occurred at one or two places of Sahiwal and Lahore divisions.
