Rivers Indus, Kabul may attain high flood level

The River Indus at Kalabagh and Chashma and River Kabul at Nowshera may attain medium to high flood level on Monday, Flood Warning Centre said here on Sunday. It said mighty Indus at Chashma and river Kabul are in medium flood level. River Indus at Tarbela, Kalabagh, Taunsa, Guddu and Ravi at Shahdara are in low flood. Medium to high flood situation to hill torrents of DG Khan division and eastern Balochistan is likely to continue today. 

It warned of floods in hill torrents of Balochistan and urban flooding in Karachi and Hyderabad divisions during next 24 hrs due to heavy rain falls. 

Weather on Monday 

Rain-thundershower is expected at scattered places of Kalat, Quetta, Makran, Karachi, Hyderabad divisions and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Bahawalpur, D. G. Khan, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Kohat, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Sibbi, Zhob divisions and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Thundershower is expected Kashmir, Northeast Balochistan (Quetta, Zhob, Kalat Divisions), Islamabad, Northeast Punjab (Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala divisions), Malakand, Hazara divisions, while at isolated places Kohat, Bannu and Sargodha divisions.
