REAP elections 2012: South Zone Group wins all five seats

The South Zone Group has won all five seats of managing committee of Rice Exporters Association of Pakistan (REAP). The Elections 2012 for five seats of REAP managing committee South Zone comprising of Sindh and Balochistan were held at REAP House here on Wednesday. “The South Zone Group led by Abdul Rahim Janoo won all five seats in the elections”, a press release issued here on Wednesday said. 

Total votes casted were 157, South Zone Group’s winning candidates Rafiq Suleman got 125, Javed Ali Ghori 124, Shahid Tawawalla 121 and Haji Tahir 110 votes. Groups Associate Class Candidate M. Kazim Khandwala has already elected unopposed. REAP’s total managing committee consists of group nominees. 

The five candidates of the allies of South Zone Group have been elected from North Zone of REAP. The election for the chairman and vice chairman of REAP would be held in the last week of this month at Lahore. For this year chairman would be elected from South Zone and vice chairman from North Zone.-PR
