Ramazan Package: 93 samples of flour declared unsatisfactory

Punjab Food Department has so far collected 633 samples of flour being supplied in Ramazan bazaars across the province under ‘Ramazan Package’ and 93 samples out of these have been found unsatisfactory. Mills responsible for the supply of unsatisfactory flour have been fined Rs 825,000 besides suspension of quota or licenses of the mills concerned, said a spokesman of the Punjab Food Department here on Monday.

The spokesman stated that the provincial ministers, provincial secretaries, members of the Chief Minister’s inspection team and district officers were deputed to monitor the supplies of flour and other items in these Ramazan bazaars.
