Punjab Minister for Agriculture Malik Ahmad Ali said here on Thursday that the present government has allocated Rs 17.84 billion during last about five years for the development projects of agriculture against only Rs 2.989 billion allocation during the five years of PML (Q). In a statement the provincial agriculture minister termed the claims of the PML (Q) about development in the agriculture sector during its tenure was just a propaganda and false claim.
Punjab Minister stated that pavement of watercourses was a programme by the Federal Government which PML (Q) was advertising as its provincial government’s achievement. He said that the present government made Punjab Agriculture Marketing Company (PAMCO) effective and active by initiating projects for access of meat and agricultural products from Punjab to the international markets. While all the funds of this company were wasted on just perks and privileges during the PML Q government, Ahmad Ali alleged.
