Punjab Irrigation and Drainage Authority (PIDA) has prepared election schedule, for the next three years, of 154 farmers associations of Area Water Board of Lower Chenab, East circle Faisalabad and Bahawalnagar Canal circle. The election process will start within next few days.
General Manager PIDA informed that the three years tenure of 84 farmers associations in LCC (Sharqi) and 70 in Bahawalnagar circle would conclude in March after which the elections for new farmers associations in both area water boards would be held.
