PFMA KP demands increase in wheat quota

Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA), Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Zone demanded maximum increase in daily wheat quota of the flour mills to bring the industry out of present difficult situation. 

The demand was made in a meeting of the association held here with provincial chairman Malik Iftikhar Ahmad Awan in the chair. Besides, former chairmen, Mohammad Naeem Butt, Haji Sartaj Ali, Mohammad Sadiq members of executive committee, Haji Mohammad Anis, Musarrat Shah, Mirajuddin, Imranullah, Gul Zarin Khan and Arif Khan attended the meeting. 

The participants in the meeting held detailed discussion on the problems faced by the industry. The meeting particularly expressed concerned over massive power load shedding and outages, that are crippling the industry. 

They demanded the resolution of energy crisis and provision of interruption free electricity to the industry. They demanded increase in release rate of wheat to mills and fixing the daily quota at 300 bags per day. The meeting also reviewed arrangements for coming annual general body meeting scheduled on September 25, 2012.
