PFMA hails Ramazan Package announced by Shahbaz

 

Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Punjab Chairman Habibur Rehman Leghari has welcomed the Rs 4 billion package announced by the Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif as Ramazan Package and hoped that people of the province will get benefit of this gift of the ‘awami government’. 

In a statement issued on Monday he assured the government that the PFMA Punjab will play its positive role in making this package a success in the large interest of the masses. He said flour mills across the province have been directed not to compromise on weight of quality of flour to be provided under Ramazan package. 

He said that 20 kilogram flour bag will be sold at Rs 630 per bag in Ramazan Bazar or at sale points while in market prices of 20-kg bag will be Rs 670 per bag. He said that the government will provide Rs 1,100 per maund wheat for the flour to be sold in Ramazan bazaars, sale points while wheat for market will be provided to flour mills at Rs 1,180 per maund. Leghari said that all the flour millers have been issued warning that on complaint of less weight of substandard quality that mill will be excluded from the list of those being provided subsidised wheat for Ramazan package.
