PAD advises growers

Punjab Agriculture Department (PAD) has advised the growers to give second water to early sown wheat after 80-90 days of sowing while the same should be given after 70-80 days of sowing to late sown varieties. In an advisory issued here on Thursday, it said if growers could not apply Urea at the rate of one bag per acre at the time of first watering then they should apply the fertiliser with second watering.

The advisory also urged the growers from Barani areas to uproot weeds from the fields while growers from irrigated areas should spray poison with the consultation of local agricultural department’s experts for eradication of broad leave and pointed leave weeds.
