New prices for milk, curd fixed

 Peshawar district administration on Monday fixed the prices of fresh milk at Rs 55 per litre and curd at Rs 70 per kilogram respectively. The decision was taken in a meeting held on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner, Peshawar, Mohammad Javed Marwat. 

The chairman of the specially constituted committee for the fixation of the prices of milk and curd presented his recommendations and in response, the milk sellers demanded the fixation of the prices at Rs 80 per litre and Rs 90 per kilogram respectively in proportion to the prevailing price hike. The Deputy Commissioner had directed the association for the dispatching of the new prices within 72 hours to all milk selling shops in the district.
