Manais was bestowed country’s highest civil award “Tamgha-e-Imtiaz” by President of Pakistan in 2007 in recognition of his contributions towards national agriculture. The FAO’s gold medals to his credit for edible oil crop production (sunflower) in 1995 and for livestock production in 2005 are vivid confirmations of international recognition of his efforts.
Manais said after assuming the charge that being agri based economy; Pakistan has abundant opportunities to lead the international Halal market.
