Under the directives of Provincial Minister Agriculture Department, Government of Sindh Syed Ali Nawaz Shah and Secretary Agriculture Department, as well as the complaints of growers regarding the sale of substandard and fake pesticides/fertilisers in the market, a meeting of all Divisional Directors and Deputy Directors Agriculture Extension Department was held under the Chairmanship of Director General Agriculture Extension, Sindh, Hyderabad Hidayatullah Chajjro.
The Director General warned all the field officers to keep the vigilant eyes and perform their duties honestly and take strict action against culprits and ensure fair and transparent business of pesticides/fertiliser in the market. He directed to check and immediately seal the unauthorised dealers’ shops within their jurisdictions. During surprise visits if any unauthorised business identified, the field officer of that jurisdiction will be considered responsible and strict action will be taken as per services rules against him.
He also directed to prepare lists of growers, pesticide/fertiliser dealers and field staff on district and taluka levels and every field officer must submit their advance tour programme every month.
The Director General advised the growers to file their complaints regarding fertiliser/pesticides and field staff at Deputy Director Office in each district or directly complain to Complaint Centre of Directorate General Agriculture Extension Sindh, Hyderabad.
