The livestock, dairy, fisheries, poultry, agriculture and cultural expo 2013 to be held at Karachi Expo Center on February 23 and 24 with the aim to create investment opportunities in this sector. On the first day of the exhibition, BMR Rice Husking scheme is to be launched, while in the seminar the experts of the sector will talk about the potential of the sector the investment opportunities it carry being one of the biggest sectors of the country.
The launching will be followed by the speech of Governor State Bank of Pakistan, presentation by Chief Executive SEDF, speech by Chairman Sindh Board of Investment and SEDF, and speech by Chief Minister Sindh. Moreover, Professor Taha Azeem of Karachi University will give a presentation on “Food Security – Agri Business Management,” while Faisal Iftikhar, an exporter, will talk about “Future of Aqua Culture and Fisheries in Pakistan”.
Director Sindh Poultry Vaccine Center Dr Nazir Hussain Kalhoro will give a presentation on “Issues in Poultry Sector and Initiatives of Sindh Poultry Vaccine Center”, and Director General Livestock Ali Akbar Soomro will talk about initiatives of government of Sindh for development of livestock fisheries sector in Sindh. Nadeem Mannoo presents “Good Practices in Dairy Farming – A Success Story of SBI”.
CEO ASF (USAID Pakistan) Shad Mohammad will give a presentation on “Challenges and Opportunities in Sindh’s Agriculture Sector”, while CEO Durrani Associates A Q Durrani will present “Modern Horticulture Practices”. General Secretary Abadgar Board Mahmood Nawaz Shah will give presentation on “Scope of Agri Processing in Sindh” and CEO SEDF will talk about “Sindh Enterprise Development Fund and Success Case”. CEO Pak Ostrich Company Raja Tahir will give a presentation on “Ostrich Farming – A promising New Investment Opportunity”.
The expo is a good opportunity for people associated with livestock sector who will get to know about many issues like animal health, breeding and hygiene. Also, some activities in the event are horse and cattle show, pet show, flower exhibition, bird exhibition, food court Sindhi culture, and ornamental fish show.
