Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah presided over a high level meeting during his visit to Fata Secretariat here on Monday wherein the pace of progress on development projects in irrigation sector was reviewed. The meeting was attended by the ACS Fata, Dr Tashfin Khan, secretaries and directors of the nation building departments of the Fata Secretariat.
After having detail review of the pace of progress on development projects, the Governor desired to re-assess the ground situation both in respect of ongoing as well as the new schemes and make special efforts for ensuring completion of the projects to the maximum possible extent. There is a need to curtail the portfolio of the ongoing projects and make sure that the number of projects; with nominal annual allocations are curtailed, he said.
