Kharif crops 2012: PPCBL recovers Rs 1.49 billion agriculture loans

The Punjab Provincial Co-operative Bank Ltd (PPCBL) recovered Rs 1.49 billion of agriculture loans for 2012 Kharif crops till 23rd January which is 71.14 percent of the total loans, PPCBL, Registrar Co-operatives Punjab Dr Arshad Mahmood said, here on Monday. 

He said PPCBL is making all out efforts to recover all the non-performing loans and outstanding amounts of agriculture advances of Kharif crops. He said the co-operative bank has issued loans amounting to Rs 1.47 billion for the current Rabi crops to meet needs of the farmers. He said the bank will advance Rs 2.30 billion for the Rabi crops till 31st January 2013.
