The country’s export of jewellery falls by over 77 percent during July-November 2013-14 to $201.336 million, official statistics say. The country’s export of jewellery fell by $690.681 million during July-November 2013-14 from $892.017 million in July-November 2012-13, Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) say.
Export of gems also posted a fall of 24 percent or $0.491 million to $2.567 million in July-November 2013-14 as compared to the gems export of $2.076 million in same period last fiscal year, the PBS indicates. In terms of volume export of gems went down by 67 percent or 2 metric tons to 5 metric tons in July-November 2013-14 as compared to the gems export of 3 metric tons in same period last fiscal year, the PBS depicts.
