Irsa releases 98,198 cusecs of water from rim stations

The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Friday released 98,198 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 116,197 cusecs. According to the data released by Irsa, water level in the Indus River at Tarbela Dam was 1412.29 feet, which was 34.29 feet higher than its dead level 1378 feet. Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 31,600 cusecs while outflow was recorded as 25,000 cusecs. 

The water level in the Jhelum River at Mangla Dam was 1117.25 feet, which was 77.25 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 31,399 cusecs and 20,000 cusecs respectively. The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 77,607, 39,940 and 51,590 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from the Kabul River a total of 30,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 22,998 cusecs released from the Chenab River at Marala.
