Irsa releases 283,530 cusecs of water

The Indus River System Authority (Irsa) on Tuesday released 283,530 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 278,584 cusecs. According to the data released by IRSA, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1493.64 feet which was 115.64 feet higher than its dead level of 1378 feet.

Water inflow in the dam was recorded as 146,300 cusecs while out flow was recorded as 160,000 cusecs. The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1166.80 feet which was 126.80 feet higher than its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water was recorded as 26,754 cusecs and 18,000 cusecs respectively. The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 209,284, 172,326 and 121,660 cusecs respectively. Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 33,600 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 71,930 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
