Improving ginning quality : PCGA for adopting modern technologies

The Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) has contacted a number of multi-national companies for up-gradation and modernisation of ginning industry to save energy and improving the ginning quality. Talking to Media men here on Tuesday PCGA Vice chairmn Aasim Saeed Sheikh, Ginners group chairman Haji Muhammad Akram and Suhail Mehmood Haral said that PCGA was determined to adopt the modern technology. 

The PCGA has rejected the proposed increase of Rs 4 per unit in power tariff describing it unjust and detrimental to the industry, they said and adding that proposed increase would affect all sections of society including domestic consumers. They welcomed the negotiations between the Taliban and the government and hoped that these would help in restoration of peace and tranquillity in the region and new chapter of history would begin when foreign direct investment would come and opportunities of employment would emerge. They said that entire nation was looking at these dialogues and praying for success. Prosperity of Pakistan was hidden behind the peace and normalcy thus eradication of terrorism was the need of the hour.
