President of International Cotton Association (ICA) Mohat Shaw, Vice President (first) Jane Mark Derosis and Vice President (second) Jordon Lee said that for 170 years, the ICA has protected and promoted the interests of the world-wide cotton trade, providing essential services, facilities and support to the global cotton community and ICA members.
ICA office bearers highlighted the ICA Bremen’s cotton classing and testing training and said this unique and comprehensive programme concentrates purely on quality issues in raw cotton. It will provide you with thorough training – from the classification of cotton from various growths to practical HVI training on the latest Uster 1000 Machine or Premier ART2, as well as information on other testing equipment.
They said that the programme promises a more interactive and personal learning experience. We also have the flexibility to tailor the course to meet many special requirements. They exchanged views with the chairman of Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) Mukhtar Ahmed Baloch, Vice Chairman Aasim Saeed Sheikh and Mudassar Hussain and ICA team agreed in principle to organise seminars, workshops and other events for the production of good quality cotton and its marketing besides exploring new markets and increasing the cotton export.
They also discussed measures to increase the cotton production in Pakistan by using modern technology and good quality seed. They further said that ICA deliver a range of affordable and effective training courses that are available to ICA members and non-members. PCGA and ICA also talked on future co-operation in up-gradation and modernisation of ginning industry to maintain the international market requirements.
