Fatima Fertiliser’s profit after tax increases

 

 

 

 

The after tax profit of Fatima Fertiliser Company has increased to Rs 4.010 billion in the nine month period ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 1.861 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2011. The board of directors of the company in its meeting held on Wednesday declared that the company’s earning per share (basic) has increased to Rs 1.95 in the period under review against Re 0.93 in the same period last year. 

According to the financial results sent to Karachi Stock Exchange, the company’s sales increased to Rs 18.288 billion in the nine-month period this year against Rs 7.326 billion in the same period last year while the cost of sales increased to Rs 6.759 billion against Rs 2.640 billion. The company’s profit before taxation increased to Rs 5.589 billion against Rs 2.594 billion. 

On quarterly basis, the company’s after tax profit however reduced to Rs 1.416 billion translating into earning per share (basic) of Re 0.67 in the quarter ended September 30, 2012 against after tax profit of Rs 2.014 billion with per share earning of Rs 1.01 in the same quarter last year.
