The Agriculture Department on Monday urged farmers to cultivate onion as it could help earn handsome foreign exchange because of its rising exports. The department urged the farmers to cultivate onion by September. “Plough the land and also use cultivator two times. Mix 20kg urea in water and irrigate the cultivated area,” it added.
