Kissan Board Pakistan (KBP) President Sardar Zafar Hussein Khan, terming the fresh increase in petroleum prices as a cruel act of the government, said that rulers while bidding farewell had stabbed in the back of 70 percent growers by increasing petrol and diesel prices.
In a statement issued here on Thursday, he was of the view that prices of electricity and gas were raised unjustifiably in the past. Non-payment or delay in payment by sugar millers and other industrial sectors had made the life of peasants miserable and now this increase in diesel and petrol prices would add salt to the injuries of the farming community.
