Disbursement of agricultural credit for Kharif crops through ‘One Window Operation’ has been started by Zari Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL). A spokesman of Punjab Agriculture Department has advised farmers to get benefit by the facility of loan disbursement through One Window Operation and purchase agricultural inputs for Kharif crops in time to get more income.
The spokesman said that farmers holding up to 25 acres irrigated and 50 acres Barani land are eligible to get loan through pass book system. For this purpose, Mobile Credit Officer will receive applications on every Monday at Markaz level and the Bank will issue the loan within three days. According to the spokesman, the Department is paying special attention to the availability of quality seed and promotion of mechanised farming so that maximum area could be brought under cultivation for increasing agricultural production.
