Chenab at Panjnad likely to be in high flood tomorrow

The Flood Forecasting Division has issued red alert that the River Chenab at Panjnad is likely to attain medium to high flood level ranging between 275000 to 325000 cusecs from August 23 to 24, in Bahawalpur / Rahimyar Khan districts on the border of Sindh province. 

RIVERS POSITION: River Indus at Guddu is in high flood level. River Chenab at Trimmu and River Ravi at Balloki are in medium flood level. River Indus at Chashma and Sukkur, River Kabul at Nowshera, River Ravi at Sidhnai and River Sutlej at G.S.Wala, Sulemanki are in low flood level. 

WATER FLOWS IN RIVERS The River Indus at Tarbela 2,12,800 cusecs, Jinnah 2,14,000 cusecs, Chashma 2,75,500 cusecs, Taunsa 1,80,900 cusecs, Guddu 5,67,400 cusecs, Sukkur 3,81,100 cusecs and Kotri 2,22,316 cusecs. The River Kabul at Nowshera 49,300 cusecs. The River Jhelum at Mangla 70.100 cusecs. The River Chenab at Marala 66.700 cusecs. 

WEATHER FOREFAST FOR TODAY Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country today. However, rain/thundershower is expected at a few places of Sargodha, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, D.G.Khan divisions and Kashmir/GB.
