Cheema chairs PGJDC’s BoD meeting

Federal Minister for Production, Anwar Ali Cheema, chaired the meeting of Board of Directors of Pakistan Gem & Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) in the committee room of Ministry of Production. Federal Secretary Gul Muhammad Rind and chairperson PGJDC Seemen Yousuf Siddique were also present in the meeting. 

Chief Executive Officer of the company, Bakhtiar, gave detail briefing on the overall performance of the company during last fiscal year. Highlighting the activities and achievements made by the company, the CEO mentioned that 76 trainings were so far conducted, which resulted in 913 beneficiaries in the Gems & Stone sector. While explaining collaborations and linkages, the CEO mentioned few agreements recently signed in Gem & stone sector, including the 1.43 million MoU with BISP to build the capacity of gem sector in Gilgit-Baltistan. The company’s management was advised to strengthen their marketing department in order to promote their product and trained human resource at International level.-PR
