Buyers buy about 250,000 tonnes of Black Sea wheat

Buyers in Pakistan, in past years a wheat exporter, have in the past two weeks purchased around 250,000 tonnes of wheat from the Black Sea region, European traders said on Monday. The wheat was purchased for shipment between August 15 to the end of September and source regions include Russia and east Europe, traders said. Traders said five 50,000 tonne consignments were bought at $287, $289, $282, $289, $280 a tonne c&f free out (CFFO). 

Some traders said the lowest price was $279 a tonne CFFO. Traders said on July 26 that buyers in Pakistan were seeking wheat imports from the Black Sea region, with continued market talk Pakistan”s wheat crop this year was not as good as expected.
