Brussels offers fish packing services as per international standards

Brussels has formally offered Pakistan his services and expertise in fish packing and preserving at international standards and to improve cold storage facilities at Gwadar Port. Ambassador of Belgium in Pakistan Peter Claes called on Federal Minister for Ports and Shipping Senator Kamran Michael here on Tuesday. 

Federal Minister said the Ministry would purchase fish from domestic fishermen and after packing and preserving it at international standards, it would be exported to European market, particularly to Belgium. Federal Minister said, “This joint venture of two friendly states will be worth of million of euros to Pakistan exchequer.” 

Federal Minister appreciated the offer of Belgium for scholarships to Pakistan Marine Officers into Belgium on which home work had been completed. Belgium Ambassador formally invited the Federal Minister to visit Belgium and to meet business community of Belgium. Peter Claes also appreciated the step of the government for vesting her trust on a Christian Community person to elevate him a pivotal port folio that was an acknowledgement of the capabilities of Senator Michael and provided him the opportunity to play his role in progress and prosperity of the nation.-PR
