Baglihar and Kishan Ganga Dam: Prime Minister urged to form fact-finding commission in ICJ

Kisan Board Pakistan (KBP) has urged the Prime Minister to immediately form a ‘fact finding commission’ to probe in to the causes of failure of Pakistani stand on Baglihar and Kishan Ganga Dam in the International Court of Justice.

In a statement issued on Friday, KBP Central President expressed his reservations on failure of Pakistani point of view on these two dams at the international forum and urged the prime minister to constitute a fact finding commission, which should determine that at what point slackness was shown by the quarters concerned on this important national interest and who are responsible for this to bring them to book and awarding them exemplary punishment.

He said that this commissioner should also review whether our stand on these dams was correct or such a line of action was adopted in connivance with the enemy that Pakistan’s efforts were bound to fail. KBP Chief expressed the hope that their demand would be accepted at the earliest and elements responsible for the failure would be exposed and expenses incurred on raising this issue in the international court would be recovered from them.
