APGMJA demands removal of ban on gold import

All Pakistan Gems Merchants and Jewellers Association (APGMJA) threatened to observe strike if the government did not lift ban from gold import. The gold and gems traders demanded of the government to review its decision to remove the restriction it recently imposed on import of the yellow metal. “We (traders) are left with no option rather to go on strike if the government continues its arbitrary ban on import of gold,” President (APGMJA) Mazhar Ali told at a news conference here, on Wednesday.
