All rivers in normal state of flow

As there has been no significant rainfall in the catchment areas of major rivers during the past one week, all the major rivers are flowing in their normal state of flow except River Indus at Kotri, which is still at low flood level though the water is receding fast, Flood Forecasting Centre said here on Monday. It said the water flow in the mighty Indus had fallen to 118,700 cusecs at Tarbela, 132,200 cusecs at Jinnah Barrage, 166,700 cusecs at Chashma, 144,800 cusecs at Taunsa, 134,500 cusecs at Guddu and 156,000 cusecs at Sukkur Barrage. 

It said the current flow in River Kabul at Nowshera is 24,800 cusecs, in River Jhelum 27,800 cusecs and in River Chenab at Marala 54,900 cusecs. WEATHER FORECAST FOR TODAY (Tuesday): Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However, scattered thundershowers with isolated moderate falls is expected over Mohmand and Khyber Agencies, Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi and Gujranwala Divisions alongwith Kashmir. Isolated hundershowers is expected over Lahore, Sargodha and DI Khan Divisions alongwith Gilgit Baltistan. 

WEATHER NEXT 48 HOURS: Mainly hot and humid weather is expected in most parts of the country. However rain/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, Hazara, Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions. 

WEATHER PAST 24 HOURS: Weather remained hot and humid in most parts of the country; however rain-thundershower occurred at isolated places of Rawalpindi, Lahore, Gujranwala, Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar divisions and Kashmir.
