Farmers are the backbone of our national economy, said caretaker Sindh Agriculture Minister NK Lohana while addressing a meeting with small-scale farmers at his office. The minister also said that agriculture sector would be aligned on modern standards and farmers would be given trainings with latest information regarding cultivation methods. The department is transferring knowledge to grassroots via advertisements and awareness campaigns. When a delegation of farmers informed the minister about their problems, he assured them that their issues would be resolved on priority basis and directed Secretary Agriculture to look into the matter. staff report
