50 animal relief camps set up in Sindh

The Director Animal Husbandry, Sindh has said that in order to adopt precautionary measures and to ensure prompt treatment to the animals in worst rain-affected six districts of Upper Sindh, 50 animal relief camps have been established where total 342304 including 218884 large and 123420 small animals have been vaccinated and 17334 animals have been treated till September 18, 2012. 

In his press statement, the Director Animal Husbandry informed that out of these animal relief camps, 10 relief camps with 9 vets and 24 para-vets established at Shikarpur,16 camps with 25 vets and 63 para-vets established in Khairpur district, 4 camps with 1 vet and 9 para-vets established in Ghotki, 7 camps with 6 vets and 17 para-vets established in Sukkur, 4 camps with 1 vet and 10 para-vets established at Kashmore and 9 animal relief camps with 1 vet and 19 para-vets established at Jacobabad district to adopt precautionary measures and ensure prompt treatment to affected animals in these districts.
