The International Max Planck Research School “Primary Metabolism and Plant Growth” (IMPRS-PMPG) provides a unique training opportunity in plant genomics and systems biology. Research is at the core of the 3-year programme. Doctoral projects within IMPRS-PMPG will to a large extent focus on the model organism Arabidopsis thaliana. The research projects follow a range of approaches – from molecular physiology to bioinformatics and modelling.
The IMPRS-PMPG doctoral programme is a joint initiative of the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology and the University of Potsdam. The working language of the programme is English. Our doctoral students receive high level interdisciplinary scientific training covering various aspects of systems biology-oriented research, complementary skills training, and support in career development.
Our application call usually opens in autumn for fellowships starting between early summer and autumn of the following year. Please feel free to contact us by email if you have any questions.
