Role of woman education in our society

Education is important for both men and women to build a society and an educated society is the pillar of a well-developed country.  Education of women is considered as more important than men, because a women is the basic brick of a society. Without it, a pillar cannot be completed.

In Islam, our Holy Prophet MOHAMMAD S.A.W forced on the education of women. HE S.A.W said, “It is compulsory for both men and women to get education”. In Islam, there is no restriction on the education of women. Therefore, Pakistan is an Islamic country, and according to the article 37 of constitution of Pakistan, to get education is a fundamental right for each citizen.

Education is basic requirement for the development of a human society. Education not only the need of men but also for the women as a woman have to build a society. She acts as a mother, sister and wife. Out of this, a mother role is most significance for a society, as it teaches a child. Mother lap is considered as a first education place.

Now a days, women not only in Pakistan but in all over the world, participating in each part of the life either that is related to medical field, that is related to agricultural field , that is related to bank management, that is related to engineering filed, or that is related to politics etc. women are playing role in a society as a mother, teacher, doctor, engineer, pilot, politician, bank manager etc. Women are working from dawn to dusk with men in filed. They are growing crops in filed as men do.

But in Pakistan, there are some areas till now where education of men is considered as compulsory as compared to women. In those areas, women are just going to school for primary level or at middle level. Or in some areas, where schools are present just near the door of houses , but parents are unable to send their daughters at there due to their traditional trend and due to lack of knowledge. And in some areas, where people want to send their children for education but due to higher fees parents are unable to provide education to their children.

According to a report of 2010, Pakistan ranked 120 out of 146 countries in term of GDI. This gender discrimination is considered as a debatable issue in all over the world. Extension workers should provide information to people about the importance of education of both men and women.

Women can play better role than men in each matter of life. If a women is playing a role of a mother or a teacher, she is better than a man teacher because she know about the

  • How to sit
  • How to stand
  • How to write
  • How to learn
  • How to eat
  • How to drink
  • How to speak
  • How to walk
  • How to wear

In short, she provides a better frame of living for a child. A mother is the first education place for the child and then a teacher makes it proof. So the education of a women is as important as men.
